Due to many teams just now finishing the formation of rosters, the Tournament Committee has elected to extend registration until March 19th .

Note:  Home team will be responsible for providing a parent to do the books and the visiting team will provide a parent to run the clock – this is standard with most league play and tournaments.  However, for games with medals & trophies at stake, the Allen Awesome Tournament committee will provide volunteers to handle both the clock and the books.  At least one of the volunteers will be an adult, and, of course, they will provide an unbiased and impartial perspective in performing these duties.  The Allen Awesome Tournament prides itself upon running a quality format tournament.  The referees are the best to be found in the Metroplex, and we want to make sure that for championship games, that there is no ambiguity about the professionalism of running clocks and keeping books.  

Age Divisions for 2008:

10 thru 14U:  Allen Awesome follows AAU Age guidelines, but based on the honor system.  Birth certificates are NOT required.  We use the age alignments for bracketing purposes.  Allen Awesome is NOT an AAU sanctioned tournament.

HS-Silver, HS-Gold, Elite:   Beginning in 2006, we re-structured the High School level age groups to promote more even competition.  This was a great success last year so the same will be done again this year.  Note that girls of high school age can play in any of the divisions that will provide the best level of competition for their respective team.  Stronger teams have always been able to play up, but older teams have been limited in their options.  With this change, teams made up of freshmen, JV, and V level players can now play at their appropriate level while the most competitive of teams can play at the level that gives them the best competition.  Please call Skip 214-906-8045 if you have any questions regarding the age groups.
